V M P R A schedule of events

All events run for the 2012 calendar are to run as follows:

  1. Test flying may occur on Friday in accordance with local club/field rules, as applicable.
  2. Test flying will commence on Saturday in accordance with local club time restrictions, if applicable.
  3. All test flying will stop at 0900 Saturday, the course will be set and entries will be taken.
  4. A pilots briefing will be held at 0930.
  5. Racing will commence close to 9.45 as possible.
  6. On Sunday, test flying will stop at 0900, a pilots briefing will be held at 0915 and racing will commence at 0920.
  7. At F3D Team Trial Events – F3D will take priority.
  8. Rules for Team Trial Events are posted on the AMPRA website (www.ampra.org.au)
  9. Rules for Victorian events are posted on the VMPRA website (www.vmpra.org.au)
  10. All F400VIC class events will be run under Victorian rules.
  11. The Q500 class will be run all day for both of the days. Saturday will be $5 dollars entry fee for methanol cost and Sunday $15 dollars for fuel trailer and trophy costs. If you are a beginner you will be allowed to fly in 3 events and the plane you have must be inspected by CD before flying. After this time you must be flying the correct Q500 model to be eligible to compete.
  12. Trophies for the most consistent flyer for each class for the 2012 calendar will be re-introduced.
  13. If any rules or changes to any rules need to be discussed in any class the competition is not the place and the changes need to be presented to the VMPRA committee for review to be discussed at the next VMPRA meeting.  VMPRA meetings have been scheduled during race weekends during the year to maximise attendance and input.
  14. If any competitor has any issues with the rules or officials this must be taken up with the CD and not helper or competitors.
  15. The models of pilots that finish in the first three places in each class may be subject to inspection, so make sure all of your models comply.
